Busy on Mama's Day Off

Things have been pretty busy since I went back to work. The worse thing is that I don't really get to spend much time with Noah during the weekdays at all. I usually get home around 4:15/4:30 and Noah usually goes to bed around 7:30/8. Since he is never awake when I leave it means I am only spending approximately 4 hours with Noah everyday. The weekends we try to do nice things together but, honestly, I'm tired...so our quality time isn't always filled with quality. But this week I didn't have to work today (Monday) and since I was able to catch up on the rest I needed on Saturday and Sunday I was truly able to spend the day with Noah and his dad...a day filled with quality acitivites.

First, we went to Rocketship Park and allowed Noah to try a lot of firsts.

In the picture below he was riding down the slide! He looks pretty serious but as soon as he was at the bottom of the slide he had a huge smile on his face!

Noah also rode the swing independently for the first time! He enjoyed it for awhile but if I had to guess he had a better time riding the slides!

After the park we decided to go ahead and take Noah for his first haircut. His dad had found a, First Cut, in the PV mall. It is a salon with awesome orange colored rockships for kids to sit in. The tv was playing some cartoon show and kids tunes were playing on the radio. It was a great environment, especially quiet on a Monday afternoon, and the woman there were kind.
The picture below depicts Noah clearly wondering what we have gotten him into!

But once he saw the shining rocket steering wheel he was very pleasant. He didn't cry at all! The woman work exceptionally quickly, maybe too quickly the lines in the back are a little jagged-but overall we were pleased. Not sure we will go back because they are pretty pricy but I am glad we went there for the first time! We received a certificate and they put a portion of Noah's hair in an envelope as a keepsake!

The finish product is a little more trendy than I thought I would do. I was thinking about giving him to "good conservative" look but I love his little spike!

He is obviously letting everyone know now that they better not mess with him!
I am currently working on uploading the videos to youtube so you can check them out. I am adding a privacy setting so that you will have to put my gmail address in order to see them. As soon as I have completely uploaded them I will let you know!

That's it for now...back to work tomorrow...

More Cereal

Just a little update-Noah made his second attempt at cereal today. I think it went well and that it will fit well in our nightly routine...I guess it will make it the 3 B's and a C. Cereal, Bath, Book, and Bed!

Eating Cereal...sort of.

On September 5th we decided to allow Noah to try eating cereal. This is how it turned out:

Hope you enjoyed the videos as much as I did!

Taking steps

It has been awhile since I have posted anything but I have to say that life with Noah while working is very busy. The days are going by so quickly I can't even catch my breath. Noah is doing wonderful! He is smiling all the time and has begun laughing. He is very precious and we all just love him to death!

In this video (taken Sept. 3rd) Noah is attempting to walk forward...how cool!

I apologize for the video being sideways!

Noah ate it!

SAND! HE ATE SAND! Noah's visit with his Grandpa Lele'a prompted another visit to the beach. We just loved watching Noah enjoy being outside and being in the water so we had to go back again.

This time Noah was a bit more adventurous and ended up with sand everywhere AND he sat in the water!

Two Important Firsts...

Noah has finally placed his feet in the awesome Pacific Ocean! Of course this only happened because of a different first-Noah finally got to spend some quality time with his Grandpa Lele'a!

Time spent with his Grandpa was very special to Noah. It was a packed day of excitement. First his grandpa came to pick us up. As soon as he got here, Noah put him to work demanding a bottle. After Noah finished eating we took off to Hermosa Beach. We found a cozy spot under the pier (an easy and FREE way to keep Noah safe from the sun) and just hung out. After Noah got his feet pretty sandy we decided to rinse them off in the ocean. I truly thought that Noah was going to begin screaming because the water is cold but I was wrong. Noah didn't say a word and when we took him out of the water he arched his body back as if trying to throw himself into the water. Once we got him out of the water he was pooped and ready for a nap and we were ready for a meal. We ate at Scotty's while Noah took a short nap and then made our way to our favorite place to buy baby clothes, Carter's. There Grandpa Lele'a absolutely spoiled Noah with wonderful gifts (this on top of great gifts he already brought with him)! After that we walked around the mall for a little while when he found an adorable Hawaiian two-piece outfit, both of us (Noah's mama and papa) are DYING to put him in it!!! We then went to Columbia Park where Noah was able to chill out at one of his favorite spots-underneath a tree! After spending about an hour and a half in the park we marched over the Cherrystone's for a great dinner and we were lucky enough to have Noah's Auntie Jac, Granny, and Unkie join us. The food was delicious as always but the company was most definitely what made the dinner so wonderful! Lastly, Grandpa Lele'a took us home and came back upstairs to help Noah through his 4 B's. Grandpa gave him a bath, fed him his last bottle, and put him to bed. It was overall an amazingly wonderful day and Noah canNOT wait until he can spend more quality time with his Grandpa Lele'a!
