Walking the Dog

I couldn't believe it...Noah is grown up enough to walk the dog by himself! What an angel! On the 20th he will be 18 months! The time is just flying by...

Busy, Busy, Busy

The story of my life. I am back in action at work and I am exhausted! I am on my third week and while the kids are saying, "Wow! It's already been 3 weeks?!?" I am screaming inside, "It's ONLY been 3 weeks?!?!?!"
I have been having some extreme ups and downs at work. Some students have been absolutely fantastic-others have been real pains. Overall it looks like it's going to be a good year! The hardest part is getting adjusted to teaching a new subject and preparing for all of this!
Anyways, Noah has LOVED me being at work because he has been spoiled by being watched by Auntie Jac and Granny. He loves waking up every morning and heading out the door-he really is thrilled! He plays all day long and when he gets home he is super tired and ready for bed. One typical activity is Noah sunbathing with my mom. In the pictures above he clearly is very upset that Jac has interrupted his relaxation time! Darn Auntie!

The End of Summer

Well...it's not exactly the end all but the end is quickly coming and I am definitely not ready for it!
Today Noah had his last swim class which was a lot of fun! He can kick and put his head under but his teacher told me he needs to work on keeping his head under longer and kicking with his head under the water. He rode on the large water slide twice and was brave enough to run through the jetting fountain. His Granny and Auntie were there to cheer him on and Noah loved having them there! How could I tell? Because every chance Noah had he would stop what he was doing look to the side where they were sitting and wave to them enthusiastically. It was adorable!

We took him out for a small celebration after his class and headed straight to Grannys. It was a lot of fun.

But I can't look at what we did today without the heavy dread of whats to come looming over me. September 8th I am back to the grind. I am going from 1 prep of 11th Grade English to 3 preps, World History, US History, and CAHSEE Prep. This sucks and is a lot of work but, on the brighter side, I still have a job!

I am considering paying monthly for Noah to continue swim classes in Redondo Beach at the South Bay Aquatics Swim School...but I am not sure.

I hope everyone is well and I hope you link on to our youtube account as I have uploaded some fun videos of Noah swimming!

Ciao for now

Coming Back!

I know I haven't written in a long time but life with Noah doesn't allot for a lot of blogging. But here we are. Noah is now 15 months and 2 weeks old. He started walking just a month ago and I almost can't remember what it was like when he wasn't able to walk at all. He runs around, because yes he learned to walk and run on the very same day, and explores everything he can get his hands on. His way of exploring includes touching and sticking things in his mouth. He also experiments. Experiments include things like testing whether or not a wine flute can bounce on hardwood floors, he seemed shocked that it did not. Or experimenting with our family dog, what would it feel like to allow Lucky to sniff the food in your mouth? Apparently it isn't so bad, although, he found, Mama doesn't like it very much. The list goes on but my time is limited as he is still awake and "writing" his journal on a pad of sticky notes and a ballpoint pen.

Noah has been in swim classes at a nearby public pool. He loves being in the water but doesn't love swim class as it coincides with his nap time. But what can you do? All the nearby pools decided to have the Tiny Tot class during his nap time! He does ok. He jumps in. Dunks under. And even blows bubbles! He does all of these things in the blow up backyard pool at his Granny's house too so he is definitely racking up his pool time this summer.

He almost has a full set of teeth, he understands simple commands (although he doesn't always listen), and he seems to greatly enjoy testing the waters. Every night before we go to bed we read, Where's My Sweetie Pie by Ed Emberley. His Auntie bought him this book for Valentine's Day and he loves it! He still smiles at the end when he realizes he is the Sweetie Pie!

Noah has already done so much and the time passes so quickly the memories sometimes intertwine. I will try to do a better job so everyone can stay posted about what is happening and get the most recent videos and pictures.

Until next time...
